Animated Stories for Kids

These two animated stories were created for a children’s YouTube channel with a focus on calm, gentle storytelling. Both videos were intentionally designed to be slow-paced, soft, and comforting — without sharp transitions or intense colors — to create a peaceful viewing experience for young children.

The narration in each video is performed by a Ukrainian voice actress who regularly works on professional dubbing projects. Visuals were illustrated by talented artists, while I handled the animation and motion direction to bring each story to life in a subtle, soothing way.

The Tale of a Fairy

This story is presented in the style of a living picture book. The characters don’t fully animate — instead, the motion supports the gentle rhythm of the tale. It follows a small fairy who searches for her purpose and tries to understand how she can help others. By the end, she finds her way by helping a young boy become braver and follow his dreams.

The Seahorse Story

This short animation tells the story of a curious little seahorse who can’t sit still and, because of his impatience, ends up in trouble. Only then does he realize the importance of listening to his parents and understanding that they were trying to protect him.

The artwork was created in Adobe Photoshop by an illustrator, and I animated the story, focusing on soft movement and a calm underwater atmosphere suitable for very young viewers.
